Where to find the serial number and how to input the registration code?
If your program is not registered, you will find a “Register…” button on the tone and picture settings dialog box. Click on it brings you a registration window on which you find your serial number and can input the registration code to finish the registration procedure.
Restrictions for unregistered version:
Unregistered version can be used only 50 times. Please register it to encourage the author to develop more exciting software. Thank you!
Q: Does Pic&Ring support tones and pictures in the Storage Card?
A: Pic&Ring supports tones and pictures in the Storage Card. However, these files must be copied to your XDA so please ensure enough room in your XDA.
Q: After setting a picture, a “Pic&Ringthumbnails_*.toi” file appeared in my picture folder. What is that and can I delete it?
A: This file is the thumbnail of the picture you chose and was generated when you set the picture for the corresponding contact. It enables the Pocket PC to quickly show the picture when receiving a call. So you cannot delete it.
Q: It seems that I succeeded in the registration. However, when I close the application and re-run it, it shows “unregistered” again. Why?
A: This may be caused by the conflict with other applications installed on your pocket PC or by the insufficiency of Pocket PC (PPC) stock room. To fix the problem, first, backup your data to PC or external stockage card like SD card or MMC card; second, hard reset your PPC (and all data will be cleared); third, install Pic&Ring and register. Then, you can restore all your data back to your PPC.
Q: When my PPC hard reset, or Pic&Ring re-installed, will the registration code be invalid and shall I contact the author for another registration?
A: No. Your registration code will remain valid.
